Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 26, 2026. Mongoose Tunes is a product of Mongoose Labs, operated by Mongoose Athanor LLC ("we," "us," or "our").

Using the player without an account

You can browse and stream every track without creating an account. In that mode, favorites and playlists are stored only in your own browser's local storage and never reach our servers.

If you create an account

Creating an account lets your favorites, playlists, and queue sync across devices. We store your username and a securely hashed, salted password (never the password itself -- your browser stretches it before it's ever sent to us, and our server stretches it again before storing it). We store your favorites/playlists/queue exactly as you've built them so they can sync back to you.

Signing in with Mongoose ID (optional)

If you choose “Continue with Mongoose,” you approve the connection on mongooselabs.app. Tunes then receives a random identifier that is unique to Tunes, your Mongoose account’s email address (used only to suggest your Tunes username), and the permissions you approved. If you approve it, how many favorites, playlists and queued tracks you have is shown in your Mongoose wallet, and Mongoose agents you choose can manage your favorites, playlists and queue; they can never sign in or delete your account. Tunes never receives your Mongoose password, and accounts are never linked by matching a name or email: linking always starts from your own signed-in account. You can disconnect Tunes from your Mongoose account’s Connected apps, and deleting your Tunes account disconnects it too.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data, track your listening for advertising, or share your account information with third parties.

Standard web server logs

Like any website, the server that delivers this app and its API (Cloudflare, our hosting provider) logs standard technical request data (IP address, timestamp, user agent) for security and abuse prevention, on the same terms as the rest of the internet.

Downloading or deleting your data

You can download everything Tunes stores for your account at any time -- open the account menu and choose "Download My Data." You get one file with your username, when you joined, and your favorites, playlists, and queue.

You can delete your account yourself at any time -- open the account menu and choose "Delete Account." This permanently removes your account, favorites, playlists, and queue immediately; it can't be undone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date.
